Handmade block print hand-printed onto ~20"x30" handmade lami li lokta paper, acid-free, with four deckled edges, 60 gsm. This piece was inspired by the medieval tapstry of the "Unicorn in Captivity". My version features a more stout unicorn chained loosely to a gnarled pomegranate tree, surrounded by a mille fleur meadow of medieval garden flowers.
 
The Lokta paper comes from Lama Li products that support rural industries and the employment of marginalized workers. My use of this paper supports community development initiatives such as clean water, road construction, and other infrastructure projects.
 
Each print is hand printed so there will be variations from print to print (for example some areas may look more faded than others)
 
Edition of 150 on natural color lokta paper, printed to order until 150 have been made, each print is hand-titled, numbered, and signed just below the impression.
 
Each piece of paper paper is handmade so there will be additional inherent variations in thickness and texture that make each piece unique.
